Location: The position will be located at the Claverack REC headquarters in Wysox, PA.

Reporting Structure: This position will report to the Director of Broadband Operations for Claverack Communications, LLC.

Primary Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving subscriber growth and increasing revenue for our broadband and related services. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, developing actionable goal-oriented sales plans, and converting opportunities into long-term customers of Revolution Broadband.

This position is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a small business environment where strategy and action go hand in hand.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is preferred
  • Three to five years of sales & marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of broadband internet and voice services
  • Experience in business development, sales, or growth roles, preferably in rural markets

Responsibilities:

As the Business Development Manager, the candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow residential, commercial, and enterprise subscribers
  • Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, service upgrades, and expansion of existing accounts
  • Identify underserved markets, neighborhoods, and members for broadband expansion
  • Collaborate with the director of broadband operations to evaluate funding opportunities for broadband expansion
  • Collaborate with operations and network teams to align sales efforts with network capabilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including commercial and enterprise accounts, hosted PBX and business phone systems, anchor institutions (schools, healthcare, municipal entities), strategic partnerships and reseller opportunities
  • Research local market conditions, competitors, and pricing trends
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new services, expansions, or promotions
  • Track progress against goals and adjust strategies as needed
